I have had little problems with routed netmail over the years, to and from Z1 and the other zones as well. But I don't use netmail a lot, and mostly to my direct links or to people already using echomail so it's likely they have a working connection. Of course you can't expect any privacy in netmail, so if that's needed I set the crash bit with my editor, and use "...\FMailW32.exe pack * /C" to send it out (as explained by Michiel).
