There's suppose to be a way DSL can be sped up by a factor of
10 or more if one's copper is within a mile of fiber optic.
Should that occur in fact I expect standard DSL rates to drop
in price.

If I were a bit younger I'd do this myself and have
a following of small voluntary donations to cover my
operating costs.

My landlady offered to allow me to setup those Pringles
kludge yagi's at either end to her wideband access through
LinkSys but it's a bit too much of a project for me just now.
