I am a fan of IBM "clicky" keyboards too. (Using on right now, Blue
label, Label on back, Black "Copyright IBM Corp 1984" [Most
likely Lexmark])
The early "Lexmark" ones are just about the same as the IBM ones. I
know, I have quiet a few of them... :) I found a guy running a computer
store a few years ago, who acquired a few 1992-1994 IBM computers, with
Keyboard (and a mouse). He did not like the IBM "clicky" keyboards, so I
got a box of 10-12 (and a mouse) for $5.00 USD..
I have a Black Label IBM that has on the Logo something like (Quiet Type
or such), and it is quiet.. I have some Blue Label Keyboards that do
say Lexmark, and a few that just say IBM. Most have a Detachable Cable,
and I have a few OLD 5 pin Cables (AT era, pre 1987 PS/2's) , but most
are PS/2 variety, but interchangeable :)
Some of the non MicroChanel IBM systems that came out is 1995 had the
Blue Label, Clicky keyboard and the Cable was NOT Detachable. The Non
Clicky versions of that seem to come after 1995 or so, maybe an option
(as they were an option before)
If you REALLY need a keyboard, I could part with one....
