PT>Hi
PT>Using pcboardm /toss to proccess the incomming mail is taking 30 to
PT>45 minutes to toss about 1 megabyte of mail. I am sure if this is
PT>normal or not or if this is a way that I can increase the speed of
PT>the mail tossing?
One thought, what type of dupe checking do you have enabled and how many
messages do you have it enabled for ? Here is my tosser node
configuration:
Fido Tosser Configuration
Security Req'd for +C and +D Modifiers : 100
Create MSG with Outbound Packets Attached : N
Enable Inbound Routing : Y
Secure Netmail : N
Change SYSOP to FIDO_SYSOP on Import : Y
Check for Dupes using Message Path : Y
Check for Dupes using MSGID : Y
Number of Messages to Track for Dupes : 500
Generate Response Messages : Y
Enable PassThru's : Y
Enable Areafix Forwarding : N
Auto Add Fido Areas as PassThru's : N
Re-Address Routed Packets : N
Route Echo Mail : N
You can try turning off MSGID checking and see if it runs quicker. Also
what speed of processor are you running ?
