You could fill the listbox with 'empty' strings and use an array to put in
the listbox contents. The only problem is that sorting the listbox is more
difficult and you will have to write some code to display the listbox
contents (use the ownerdraw style). There is a file on Fernwood called
HUGELB, which has examples on how to implement this.
