Can you tell me what the fuck that magic number is?  You've got 8
above, what on earth does that mean?  How do you know 8 is the
correct number?

BTW, if you uncomment the "loglevel" keyword, you will get the command
that is being sent to your modem.  Can you verify that ATX1DT is not
being sent (show me the log).  BFN.  Paul.
