I made a mistake, the name was Applied Engineering.  I rather doubt if
they're still in business unless they're servicing the Mac market.
A feature connecter for the modem would be a great idea!  The user could
install an external display or not, depending on the user's preferences.
The 2-digit "clock speed" displays on most cases are merely indicators which
show whether the "turbo" switch is in or out.  I have one of those cases,
and it can be set anywhere from 00 to 99, or any other pattern you could make
with 7-segment LEDs.
