Sorry, netmail does not work too well on this end.
To the moderator: This *is* a PowerBASIC related subject.
TH> Well, here's an update. (Of my PowerBASIC development editor)
MV> Thanks...
TH> The SAVE on NEWFILE is fixed.
TH> What's your imprssion thus far?
MV> I'd have to say the interface is a bit unorthodox, no pull
> down-menu's, so it takes some getting used to..
Yea, I know. Bare bones in that respect. I just needed something to
work with. I like to have all the screen lines display source code. I
like the way QEdit brings up a pull down menu when you hit ESC. That's
very intutitive. I just held off on it, because I am still adding
functions. I would also have to add the appropriate menu item, which
I would have to change every time I move it around.
MV> The Help-screen is a bit of a mess, but that's not high priority
> at the moment, I should think...
That's how I feel, too. So much changes around. In fact, it's probably
out of date.
MV> Syntax-highlighting is a big help, although there a some TSR that

Agreed. I need the text file of PowerBASIC syntax and usage. I don't
want to type this in myself. I'm sure somebody here has a copy. Just
think, put the cursor on the word, and kit a key, and the syntax and
usage is displayed. It needs to be that way.
MV> The string constants are still a bit unlogically highlighted:)
Okay, okay, I'll work on it. I guess you want both quote chars the
same color as the quoted text?
TH> Schools lightening up,
MV> I know what you mean, unfortunately this is not the case over

I'm 41.
MV> Last note: I just found out that saving a already existing file

No, no, say it ain't so.....
MV> O no, it had something to do with not being able to find PBC.EXE,
> I copied it to the PBEDIT dir and it works OK now...
Whew!!!!
MV> Why doesn't the IDE wait for a key-press after running a program,

I hate pressing those extra keys.
MV> You could make it a blinking text which switches to 'press any

Actually, I pipe the output of PBC to a file, so there isn't much to
see. That's why I don't bother pausing for a key. However, I could
display the contents of that file in a box, so you can see the actual
output. What do you think about that?
