Hello CHARLES. 17 Dec 03 12:43, you wrote to PASCAL SCHMIDT: CA>>> The standard telnet will not give you a child process CA>>> (comand line) to call sz or rz and use the already opened CA>>> 'port' that connects you to the BBS. No idea. CA> I haven't tried to use the standard telnet, exit to a child CA> process, and initiate 'sz' or 'rz' using the same port/connect CA> as the parent but I'm guessing it's not doable or is extremely CA> awkward? That won't wotk because you will be geting a new telnet login prompt and not your old connection. When you initialize a tcp/ip session the server will remember your adress and port and allocates a port number on his side for thi connection. And two applications can't have the same port number - so you can't do it this way. If telnet would inherit his File Descriptors to child processes you could do something like "sz --whatever-parameers &7" (for fd #7) , but AFAIK no telnet implementation does this.
