subject: general programming question: how to?

I have three data structures (will be more) that I want to be able to
perform five operations on: process, edit, sav, load, and free.

q: how? these data structures should be arranged in an array of ten,
somehow, but it seems like I should be able to do some sort of object
oriented / c++ stuff with this.

what sort of data structure do I put in the array? if I use a class
system, will it know what I'm doing?
