  thank you for clearing that up for me!....hey I think I saw somewhere a 
conversion kit to change an SKS to a deatchable magazine instead of feeding 
from the top....would you know how much something like this costs?...I think 
I'm going to start out with an SKS but I would like a high capacity 
detachable magazine....thank you for the help, your message was very 
informative...
