This conversation topic has really gone much further than I ever
intended it to. The commercial use part of the copyright law and the
anauthorized distribution part are two separate issues. Showing it for
profit is commercial use. Reselling a film that you don't own is
unauthorized distribution. It's very plain-and-simple. When you buyha
videotape you own the right to show that tape in your own home - nothing
else. You don't own the actual movie - just the right to show that movie
in one home. Because you don't own the movie you don't have the right to
sell it.
Hopefully soon we can get on to more whimsical Disney talk...
