How can they lose their nerve if the economic salvation of the
country has been adopted and its delivered ?  Coz it didnt, thats
why. So they tossed it in the bin. Just like that other economic
salvation of us all, communism, is being tossed in the bin right now.

Corse if they really had found their economic salvation, the rest
of the world could have done it like that too, and they wouldnt have
been different at all. But they had no salvation, so that didnt arise.

And you cant just buy votes. If the voters as a whole were benefiting
very greatly from the poverty reduction and the inflation, they would
have just made an obscene gesture in the direction of the landlord
lobby and carried on regardless with their economic salvation.
Landlord are always in a tiny minority, so who cares what they want ?

The reality is that it wasnt the salvation of Denmark.

Who cares what he said ?  The poms dont appear to have been able
to organise their economy effectively for generations now. Presumably
too many pompous old farts more interested in fancy words and 'good'
speeches in the House of Commons than actually understanding how things
work. So it down the tubes for them too.

Churchill actually managed to come close to single handedly sinking
the entire english economy at one time. By adopting a mindless simplistic
salvation of us all approach to economics, in his case a return to the
gold standard. Yet another silly simplistic economic idea blew up in
his face and damned near sunk england in the process.
