True.. I'm looking at what I need to do to make transx do SMTP
in/out - looks like it's going to be a total breeze, no fidonet
needed to interface transx to my current gateway. I'm contemplating
offering feeds via transx, but only to links who are interested
in sharing the cost of my copy of it on this end (I can only
host two links, and already have those two planned out.. The
alternative would be to cheat poor Pete, and that wouldn't
be fair..)

I'm not sure how it's *supposed* to work - it looks like it's
tailored to KA9Q in a big way :-) For OS/2, the 0714 release
of the gigo tcpip tools will do the job .. for every .txt
file in the outbound, run gigomail -t Performance depends on the quality of the path between

Wow. I've seen people try and conect with 2400 for PPP -
almost every single time, the handshaking itself times out
due to how slow 2400 is!
The offer is still open for entire *net* feeds via vmodem on
my system. I'll give transx a chance to those who are willing
to help pay towards the registration cost. However, anyone
close enough to a gateway to use transx, should probably just
use that gateway ;-).

I'm seeing *wonderful* connections to Latvia nad Austria, yet
'ol David Nugent and I get some of the worst throughput. He's the
number one candidate to move to transx. The other, is someone
only 45 miles from me, but his packets are seeing the Grand Tour
of the USA with Sprintlink's mess..

Ya.. We all gotta fly down and by Pete a beer. If we get'em
enough, maybe we can get away w/out registering (evil grin)
J/K, Pete!
