No, I wouldn't expect it to touch the error checking code, but I thought
it might remove the debugging info, after Dan's message.

I thought that didn't work properly from within the IDE, hence the need
for an external w8loss. And I have "Optimize for size and load time"
checked, so the few bytes I saved would seem to confirm that.
