That'd probably be take from "24v" vehicles. :-)  the "2
volt" lead-acid
cell strikes again.

ok could be aircraft then they use frequencies like that to reduce the
mass of the transformers needed... I think they do on ships too.
AIUI ground vehicles are all DC.

I don't think Carol Shenkenberger reads here but she's the one to ask about
military electronics. (I think she's IT tech on a navy ship)
