OK, I picked up one of these things today and can report that most of
the buttons worked when I simply plugged the receiver into the KVM
sdwitch's USB connection in place of the "Trackman Marble Wheel."

The Page Forward and Page Back buttons (for use in a browser) don't
work, nor does the Lock button (which is supposed to enable one to
scroll a page up and down and left and right with the ball).

The wheel still scrolls and still acts a button 3 when pressed. The Up
and Down buttons (which did not exist on the old one) work too,
scrolling up and down a step at a time.

I am still getting used to the thing, as the buttons are in different
positions from the old one, and the pointer movement seems finer/slower:
I have to move the ball more to get a decent amount of movement.
