Hi Jim,
JG>I'm trying to get Visual C++ (V1.0) running under Warp4 Win-
JG>OS2. VC does start, but when I try to compile it gives the
JG>message: "MMD.386 virtual device driver is not loaded in
JG>Windows. Ensure that the line 'DEVICE=in Setup for Binaries>\MMD.386 exists in your SYSTEM.INI
JG>[386Enh] section."
*.386 virtual device drivers can't be run under OS/2 as they require
protected mode and OS/2 can't provide it as OS/2 is already in protected
mode and they would break the OS/2 memory management.
JG>However, MMD.386 *is* listed in my system.ini. Is there a
JG>way to get this running under WIN-OS/2? What is the
JG>MMD.386 VDD?
Not that I'm aware of using a .386 driver :-(
George
