He asked Jan Vermeulen to assist in contacting the Z2 RC's.  AFAIK,
this was the extent of his involvement, other than to offers his
input on the proposed changes.

He did so here, and they were given as much consideration as any other.

I'll ask you to please refrain from negative comments until some word can
be had from Ward on this.  Remember... good thing come to those who wait.
