Hello Russell.

13 Dec 03 16:46, you wrote to me:

PM 4 was released _waaay_ before win2k/xp. I checked PM 8.1 and System
Commander 7 (A commercial boot manager which includes a quite nice
boot-time partitioning support) both can perform the conversion.

You can download Symantec GDISK (which i mentioned before) form

      http://bdew.nm.ru/RT/sym-gdisk.zip

It's a _command line only_ FDISK-like program - for example if you wanted
to delete some ntfs partition, you would do:

1) (list drives) c:\>gdisk

> Disk Partitions Cylinders Heads Sectors Mbytes Model
> 1 4 4998 255 63 39205.7 Maxtor 6E040L0

2) (view partitions) c:\>gdisk 1

> Disk Partitions Cylinders Heads Sectors Mbytes Model
> 1 4 4998 255 63 39205.7 Maxtor 6E040L0

> 2 EXTENDED 35204.9 90%
> 3 LOGICAL 10001.4 NTFS/HPFS 26%
> D: 4 LOGICAL GAMES 25203.5 FAT32 64%

3) (delete the ntfs partition) c:\>gdisk 1 /DEL /P:3

And that's it, you can do "gdisk /?" and "gdisk /?
" for the full description.

NOTE: This program seems to require _NO CONFIRMATION AT ALL_ for delete
operations, so be carefull !

Viktor
