I'm new to this echo but I'll just jump in.  :-)
I have a yellow-fronted Amazon named Elliott.  He's eight years old and when 
I bought him at 15 weeks he was still hand feeding.  I recently switched him 
over from seed to Kaytee's Exact original, which you can buy in packages of 
5lbs or more, I believe.  He's taken to it nicely.  He still gets his one or 
two peanuts a day, but he is eating the pellets and seems to like them.
Of course, he'll eat just about any kind of table food we throw in the cage 
as well.  Just doesn't seem to care what it is, he'll try it.
