I can't imagine why it would be off topic, Christopher.
CG> I can make customised pastel paper stock by
CG> soaking some of the 500-sheets-for-$5.00 stuff
CG> from my local stationers in beetroot juice.
CG> What other simple vegetable dyes are available to
 CG> the home user?
Some that I might try would be, Tumeric, Goldenrod flowers,
Sumac (all parts), Sunflower (flower rays), Yellow Root, Tansy
leaves, Privet (new growth, berries), Hibiscus flowers,Cornflower
flowers, Pokeweed (berries), Marigold (flowers), Onion (skins),
Indigo, Rose petals, Lavender (flowers) and of course, ordinary
Tea... the list is (almost) endless. Just start picking the stuff that
is readily available... who knows what you'll come up with.
Just keep good notes, because when I free up some time, I want to
make some paper, so you'll be able to share with me, what gave
you the best results.
cheers,
WL Sakowski
