Yes, there is!  I ordered Real World Programming for OS/2 and
"OS/2 Programming: Your Fast Track Guide to OS/2" from 1-800-3-IBM-OS2.
I'm glad I ordered both.  OS/2 Programming first presents you with
the basics of the OS/2 API, then takes you step by step through
the Presentation Manager, including a skeleton app, dialog boxes,
menus, and graphics.  The third section introduces you to threads,
processes, files, and DLLs.  Very understandable and highly recommended.

Also, I agree about Real World Programming...it jumps in way too fast.
I got confused by the MDI chapter even after reading all of OS/2 Programming.
I'm just jumping around in the book, trying to figure out the part about
communications.  I'm trying to write a simple dumb terminal program with
no luck so far....
