Thanks for the info on Speech recognition, especially the info of the
Merlin OS.  My interest is mainly as a teacher who runs a network of
IBMs.  I'm interesting if there's some way of getting a whole class full
of  users to work with such programs, and not have to spend $700 per
user.
I got a copy of the VoiceType Dictation CD from IBM, but what I probably
need is some utility whereby I can write my own programs and incorporate
speech detection capabilities in it.
