| subject: | Anyone using UPM APIs??? |
I have OS/2 2.1, with ES 1.0 and C/Set++, and I sure could use just a little info here. I am writing a program to handle protection of desktop applications using the UPM as the ID handler (don't ask why; UPM comes reasonably free with ES 1.0, so I thought I would use it for as many things as possible). Unfortunately, my call to UPMELOCL is giving me an access violation error, and I can't figure out why. My call to this routine looks almost exactly like the example in the documentation (S04G-1112-00, Guide to User Profile Management); the only difference is that they defined the userid parameter as unsigned char far, and this didn't seem to work with C/Set++, so I used UCHAR. Has anyone used this API, and if so, run into this problem??? Any information would be appreciated.
