My sister recently returned from a trip around the planet.  From what 
whe tells me, I _still_ think we live in a democracy. (g)

On that subject (which belongs in another echo) I once talked to the 
ombudsman about a couple of things.  I always thought that the Govt was 
there to do what the majority of the people wanted.  Wrong!  It 
transpires that the govt is there to do what IT thinks is BEST for the 
majority of the people.
