I don't agree with so called "positive discrimination" either, so I would 
change your question to - why do some sections of our society act otherwise? 
- to which I would respond, its because some sections of our society are 
assholes devoid of intelligence.
I believe that people should be judged on their merits, not their skin hue or 
place of birth.
