Hello Michiel. 11 Nov 02 09:17, you wrote to me: RT>> Well to start with fix the *C level Nodelist compilation RT>> software so that it RT>> is no longer broken, and there after the sky is the limit. MV> How does fixing the problem at the *C level give an incentive to the MV> 100.000 sysps and points to replace their software? Well, FidoNet runs on the nodelist, and currently, it is a /balls-up/. You fix the nodelist, to allow /proper/ listing of ION's and it gives one the opportunity to clean the list up, so that all listings within it are to /standard/ no wayward interpretations allowed. This will give people writing FidoNet software the ability, but more important the confidence to write software and expect to have it work, without long periods of /beta/ testing to get it to work with other software written by other developers. Reason being they all have a solid starting point, a correctly compiled nodelist, without ambiguous interpretations doing them in because of a faulty /foundation/.
