XP could've been W2K2 from what I can tell, Microsoft's
marketing people selected a different name?

My personal 'hands on' experince has been primarilly with
SlackWare but I'd wager most, if not all, Linux come up
multitasking several tasks.  I haven't checked KNOPPIX
as yet. :-)
