 You have several options:
1) Try NewsGate for Win if you only want usenet newsgroups
2) Try any Souper and SoupGate (soup  pkt)
3) Join SkyNet with all the usenet newsgroup available as FidoNet echomail,
contact Michael Grant (1:134/11).
4) ...

 I'm using NewsGate for newsgroups (the gate for the Spanish newsgroup in
SkyNet) and Souper+SoupGate for emails and mailinglists.
