Hi, Dennis;

 JM> if you stop to think about it, the knowledge will never change.

 DV> Well it is a government agency John so I suppose they can change the
 DV> laws of gravity if they choose. Good point though. Sounds like I should
 DV> just try to get it quickly before they fool with it if possible.

Having taken numerous FCC tests, including the old Radiotelephone 1st
Class, (probably the hardest test of the hundreds I have taken in the
last 50+ years), I will say this: They like to give you two answers that
SOUND correct (if you know the material!), but only one is right. And
on any question involving math, if you do the problem wrong there will
be a "right" answer for you which is, of course, wrong. One saving grace,
though, is that you only have to carry your math out to 3 decimal places
and round to 2, (1%). When I started taking FCC tests, there WERE no
calculators - we had a choice: Slipstick (Slide rule - which could barely
get 1% accuracy if you had good eyesight!), or use paper and pencil.   :-}

 DV> I have taken 6 or so real estate tests too in different states, and
 DV> the problem there was never lack of knowledge. Questions are often
 DV> worded screwy to goof up even the most knowledgeable.

If the folks that write the real estate tests are good at it, the FCC
wrote the book.

 DV> Hard to flunk "multiple guess" tests though even so.

I have always preferred them to essays!   ;-}

Catch you later... Good luck on the test!
