I just saw the prices on LEAP from Parts Express. $375 for a 'stripped'
version is almost in the real world, depends on what is 'stripped'. It may
still be far more capable than competing products selling from $99 to $299.
I checked out the Audio Projects BBS in Madison, WI last week (seems to be
connected with Madisound; I got the number from their catalog). They had an
extensive file list, but after downloading about two meg of various audio
programs, I found most of it to be seriously outdated, and/or too primitive
to be of much real use. It doesn't look like they have added anything new in
quite a while. I intend to set up an audio file area here as son as I find
enough shareware/freeware/demos that are worthwhile.
