I'm not sure in Amjet _makes_ modems or just re-badges modems from other 
manufacturers.  Your concern here is simple:  will you be able to _get_ 
upgrades for the modem, if the company doesn't actually _make_ the modems?
V.90 is not compatible with either K56Flex or with X2.  Most, if not all, 
ISPs will support V.90 along with whatever 56K protocol they now support.
