Unless you have an expert computer type person that is willing to tackle the
problem for you, you'll be better off starting from scratch. I could fix it
if it were here but trying to troubleshoot the mess your in without the
machine in hand would be even more work than starting from scratch. Consider
this a learning experience with these two lessons. I'm an expert now but
believe me I've learned lots of lessons the hard way and I'm still learning.

1. Learn more deeply about how these things operate.
2. Never delete any file or directory that you don't know what it's there
or.
3. Don't use drive compression unless you absolutly have to. Hard drive are
dropping in price, get a bigger drive if you really need the space.
