AC> Glad to see you in here...I missed you and hope you don't run off for
 AC> so long a time...this time....
Try not to. Got *another* project for next year!

There are 48 women artists in Russia who were
"counter-revolutionary" who want to put up an art exhibit in N.America.
There are also craftsmen of stones and gems who want to do the same. I
have asked one of the people I know taking a public-relations course to
look into organizing an exhibit and sales tour for them. They are based
in Valdivostok. I want them to bring some art historians, too, to tell
us about the evolution of art in Russia from Tsarist days to Communist
times, and the present.
Some many interesting things to do, so little time.... :)))

DH> The Clinical trial with acupuncture and AIDS patients will be
 DH>starting sometime this month.

Friends For Life, the AIDS support group underwriting this
investiagtion, will be meeting with the acupuncturist and myself on 19
June, to turn over the names and contact points for the volunteers
[subjects]. Then the work begins!
AC> Sounds like you will be pretty busy for a while...Just hope you have
AC> a few minutes to jump in here and let us know that you are doing
 AC> well...
Well. If my posts don't pop up for a little while, you can rest
assured that I would still be looking in and keeping track on what is
going on.
AC> I hope it continues to work for me,

In my experience [6 months], it seems to require less and less time
to do the same degree of relaxation if I use it regularly. So I don't
think the effectiveness will decrease with time. But I think you would
have to do some strengthening exercises once the muscles have relaxed
because they stayed in tone strictly due to the spasms before.

 just wish they weren't so
AC> expensive. There are a lot of people here that could use one.

That's the thing. Mine costs US$700. And the pads are about
$25 for 4, and they last about 8 weeks on a steady use basis.

     I'm not
AC> crazy about the feeling of the pulse, where did you get the one you
 AC> use?

The one I am using is Micro Mode, made in Seattle, Washington. My
chiropractor uses the full size model in his practice [about US$7000]
and he was the one who got me the portable kit.
AC> I hope it all turns out the way you want it to....
It's going OK so far. With social insurance on cars in B.C., there
are only so many ways to lay claims to damages, and the amounts are
scheduled, ie, have a maximum, unless you go to a full jury trial. So
most claims reach about the same settlement for the same injuries, etc.
AC> You do get your fingers in a lot of things...don't you????
Too many blooming pies for my taste :). But my Chinese sign is the
rabbit, or the cat in other Asian countries. And we all know what kills
the cat, right? I think I only have about 3 or 4 lives left because of
my curiosity.

AC> And lots of {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} back to you....Thinking of you a
 AC> lot...Lov ya.

Gee, thanks, mum. Happy Father's Day to your other half.
