Actually, both LHA 2 and ARJ 0.13 were based upon AR001 by H. Okimura. That
original archiver had no host support and only a few functions. ARJ was
based upon the LHArc command set because I felt it was better than PKZIP.
I later replaced the original compressor with my own at ARJ 2 and added
hundreds of functions.
So it would take many months of work to convert AR001 to a marketable
archiver.
The skeleton that I plan to publish does add a lot of functionality over
AR001. However, that is necessary to help build real working versions of ARJ
for OS/2 and LINUX, etc.
