hello again ,
KJ> Had an almost tragedy yesterday. The baby cherryheads learned how to
KJ> unlatch and open a cage door when nobody was home. I hadn't used
that's scary . . ’ūmy nanday figured out his cage doors . and the spring
snaps one day when i was gone . came home . no bird . couldn't find him
anyplace . . he'd only learned a couple of words at that point, and i guess
he was rattled . i know i was . . i finally thought to turn the radio
off (i leave one on for him when i'm not around) . and lo and behold, i hear
this quiet 'hello' from under the bed . i had already _looked_ under the bed
. just hadn't looked IN the boxspring . . he'd torn a whole (or found one
already there) and crawled up inside.........
he was one sweet bird for about an hour ...........
i took to using those oval links that screw shut on his cage . he plays
with them, but i always flip them around so that they are'nt on the same way
. and get them as tight as i can . . so far, so good!......
wish i had the time and money for one of your cherry heads . i think
they're gorgeous......
