MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Monkey Gland Steak
 Categories: African, Beef, Steak, Chilies, Condiments
      Yield: 8 servings
 
    1/2 c  Water
      8    Cube steaks
           Oil for frying
      1 lg Onion diced
      2 lg Tomatoes diced or
           Canned tomatoes
      1 c  Ketchup
    1/2 c  Worcestershire sauce
      2    Cloves garlic finely
           Chopped
      1 c  Chutney
    1/2 c  Brown sugar
      2 tb Vinegar
      1 ts Tabasco sauce
 
  Recipe for Monkey Gland Steak, a very popular South African dish.
  Don't worry, it's only a name, the monkeys are safe. But it is fun to
  use on your guests. As a former South African I can vouch for this
  recipe. My family and friends love it!
  
  In a heavy skillet, heat oil. Saute onions and garlic until soft. Add
  remaining ingredients, mix well and simmer for a few minutes. Fry the
  steaks separately. When done frying spoon the sauce over the steaks.
  Serve with rice.
