        You know back before the Winter Olympics came along since the last
Winter Olympics that in the 1996 summer Olypics that womens basketball was

spotlight in the games.  And the fans really showed up for that one.  But i

sure that the NBA all ready had plans for a WNBA womens professional 
basketball
league way before the US womens basketball team won the gold and got plenty
of attention where before they played over seas and got little attention.

i was against the women having a pro basketball league for a few reasons

are not meaning that i am against in giving women the same opportunties as 
men.
But since they placed the women's professional basketball season in the 
ummer
time for two months where the only other thing going on is baseball that i
welcomed the added stuff to watch in sports.  But now here comes the womens
hockey stuff.  And i thought women couldn't handle hockey and they really 
can't
if they play like the men day in and day out.  The way the women play is way
different though they do hit each other but in the winter olypics they get
penalties if they hit to hard.  As far as i know the men in the NHL and the
winter olympics hit hard without getting penalties unless they did it in a 
ay
where the hit was to much where in the NHL you get penalized for it.  But the
point i am trying to make here is that we are on the verge to possibly having
to much sports on tv to watch.  I will let the women play their hockey but to
possibly think that there will be a WNHL along with the NHL.  It's not that i
don't want the women to play but that it's just adding more sports to what is
all ready out there.  And if i was a sports reporter for a newspaper, 
robably
go nutz having to report more scores and stuff.  I dunno maybe everyone 
adjusts
to these things where it doesn't bother them to throw in more professional 
sports.  But i think we need areas of each year where there is no hockey on
and baseball on so we can rest for next season.  Or else we be exhausted with
all this hockey stuff.
        Sorry that i went on to long creating a large paragraph.  But let me
finish to what i think so far of the women's hockey stuff in these games.  It 
does bring a different style of play to the game.  But i am trying very hard
to handle these changes as best i could.  I just don't want to see another
professional hockey league created now just because they play womens hockey
in the winter games now.  As for the teams in this years winter olypics.  All
the teams suck except for USA and CANADA.  Now i just learned today that USA
beated CANADA 7 to 4 but this wasn't the game for the gold.  So CANADA still
 can win that gold medal which i hope they do though i am an American.  Since 
hockey came from CANADA that the womens canadien team should win the gold 
medal
and if they don't, so be it.  But i am sure they will win it and i be looking
forward to seeing the score and the canadien womens hockey team with gold 
medals
around their necks.  Well that is all i have to say about this.
