[----------^^^^ you said the above ^^^^-----------]
Use the other flash method where you upload the flash into the ROM. What this
means is you "locally" upload a file that the Supra sees as a "flash file"
and acts upon this. You *MUST* set the modem in terminal mode and use the
should contain a XXX???.SB7 somename file. Get that flash file for your
modem and proceed after reading the instructions. Please note some flashes
require the previous flash to be accepted. Below is an example...
--Instructions for X-modem Flash/Use of this Archive--
>>>some text deleted <<<
Follow these steps to perform the X-Modem Upload:
1.Launch/run your favorite terminal program
(it must support X-Modem).
2.Set the DTE ('baud rate') to a reasonable
speed (38400) supported by your computer.
3.Ensure that hardware flow control (RTS/CTS) or None
is set in your software (NOT x-on/x-off).
4.Type the command at** to the modem. This will put
your modem in flash mode.
** NOTE: if you get an error when you enter at** your modem
either doesn't support flash (Express models), or you have
really old firmware in your modem. Try flashing to the
1.300-13 then to the 1.440-12 before using this beta.
5.Tell your terminal program to 'send' the file bet1xxx.sb7
using x-modem. The modem will 'receive' the
file and update it's ROM.
(**If you are using a Mac, be sure to have 'binary' set,
not Macbinary or ASCII**)
6.After the flash is complete, the modem will again display
'OK'. Power cycle the modem by turning it off for a few
seconds. Turn the modem back on and reset the modem parameters
by typing one of the following in your terminal program:
etc. etc. etc. etc. OKAY? hope this helps -_-_-Bill
