Strictly speaking, you're right--I've made the pilgrimage to Forest
Lawn, too.
OTOH, if any man of this century is living beyond the death of his
original body, Walt Disney is that man. Even during his lifetime, Walt
was moved to remark that he wasn't "Walt Disney" anymore, that "Walt
Disney" had become something more than just the man.
To all of us who honor his memory with our enjoyment of his art and his
playgrounds, to all of those who work to keep the magic alive, and to
all to come who will smile because of Walt Disney--the man or the myth--
Walt Disney will always be alive. We should each hope to gather enough
pixie dust to live as well, and to spread as much joy as he.
