Hi. I think Rich might be able to help with pointing to a specific =
register
key, but someone else might have an answer.
On my bosses Dell Laptop, all of a sudden, when he connects to his =
dock,
with an external 17" LCD, the computer (XPHome) defaults to 640x480 on =
the
desktop, rather than the old resolution of 1024 x 768, which it used =
to do
for the past year. He's tried manually re-setting the screen =
resolution,
shutdown, re-start, and it's back to 640x480 again. He's tried every
combination of dual screen/single screen options in the Properties, as =
well
as the monitor selection via the F keys on the laptop. When booting
straight to the laptop screen itself, resolution is correct.
Any place to possibly clear a registry key that might be "stuck"?
Any ideas on what might be going on?
This started when he did a PP presentation and moved the monitor to =
our
conference room, and back.
