You didn't say what version of WP you are using, so I will explain how
to do it in WPWin7. When you hit Ctrl-P to bring up the print dialogue
box, click on the document box to bring up yet another dialogue box.
Adjust your left margins to what you want for the offset (0.5"?). Exit
that dialogue, then check the box that says "use document settings",
along with "print as booklet"
In the view of the subdivided page, the offset will show on the left
and right margins, since you will be printing double-sided for booklet
(i.e. if you printed the page on 8.5x11 paper, then folded it in half,
the offsets would then line up.) Remember when printing in booklet
form, printing the odd (front) pages first will have pages 1&3, 5&7,
etc on one side of the page, then you print the even (back) pages (2&4,
6&8 etc.) At least that's how it works when I print with my Canon
Bubblejet! Some laser printers allow duplex printing (i.e. both
sides at once). Hope this might shed a little light on your problem.
Cheers,
Phil
