Hi! Richard,

Which part of the process works already (scheduling, rebuild -or- kill),
Richard? :-)
Killing off old files is relatively easy. I do something similar in my
toss batch for the Fidonews file echo:
[ ... ]
:: Keep a small set of FidoNews files; 4 only,
:: (/L5 is line #5 from the DIR /O-D output; i.e. oldest of 5 files).
DIR /O-D/B/S %FBASEDRV%\FIDONEWS\*.ZIP|NSET /L5 OLD_FILE=$0
IF EXIST %OLD_FILE% DEL %OLD_FILE%
[ ... ]
Mind you, it's made a little easier by knowing the _number_ of files
involved. This method of file/filename manipulation with DIR & NSET
could also be used for the rebuild as well, I guess, if a rebuild is done
whenever a new (single) data file is received/generated.
Is this close to what you're after?
Cheers,
Paul.
