I found that out. It's simply a registration code for the program. So
why are they making up fancy terms like "key code"?
They are being entirely deceptive by showing a box in the ads. One
normally assumes their is a CD in the box. No CD. You are merely
Have to download the program. As for them mailing the registration
code in a box, it could just as easily be put in an envelope. But I
guess that wouldn't be as impressive if they didn't show a box in
their ads.
Another thing about Kaspersky AV. I had trouble after the '14 version
when trying to use the '15 version, so I kept the older version and
merely used the new registration number. That won't work anymore.
The bums insisted I had to use the newer version with which I am
having some problems. I wish to hell they'd stop making AV programs
that try to be all things to all people. If I wanted that kind of
nonsense, I'd would have gotten their "Security" suite.
I now have to get back to my KAV problems with XP 3 - problems that
disappear when I kill Kaspersky AV from working.
I doubt if I'll be buying KAV again.
