Looks like just redirecting from the socket to rz is not enough to get it
going. Maybe some buffering is taking place and getting in the way, who
knows.

I telnetted to my firewall box, then ^]! to get a shell, then echo $$ to
get the shell's PID, then ls -l /proc/PID/fd to see the file descriptors
and what they point to. Then I compared that with a local shell process to
see what was different (to make sure a normal shell doesn't also have a
socket open for some reason).
