subject: os/2 and win95

ASĪ I remember seeing in here a few months ago a message
ASĪ regarding how to install os/2, win95 and dos in seperate
ASĪ partitions on a boot manager system. I know that you
ASĪ have to install win95 first (and no i dont really want
ASĪ to install it but i want to play quake2 etc!!) so could
ASĪ anyone please post those instructions again.
ASĪ I will be doing the installation on a fresh empty drive
ASĪ and will be using Warp4
Get a copy of Partition Magic 3.04 and partition your drive
into as many pieces as you like. Make the first bootable
partition with FAT32 (if your version of W95 supports
it:OSR2 or Win95B) and prepare to put Win95 there (it must
be in the first partition of the first physical drive). Then
make the second partition HPFS for the Warp OS, and the
third partition FAT for the DOS segment.
Then boot the first partition and install Win95. When the
install is complete, make sure that you have a DOS7 version
of FDISK on the "emergency boot disk" Win95 recommended you
make. Boot that disk, and using FDISK make the Boot manager
partition the active partition. When you reboot the next
time, you'll have the boot manager to choose the other
partitions with. I think you can also do this with the
Partition Magic disk, but this is a little quicker. Then
install the Warp and DOS stuff. Everything should go ok.
