The subject of how to use DNSBL's is a study in itself -

1.) Spamcop - By far and away the best indicator; if a system is flagged
by Spamcop, it has been recently spamming. It's possible for this to be a
letigimate mail server victimized by one of the local users via a trojan.

2.) SORBS - a single lookup returns a hit in a number of categories.
Generally very accurate.

Some others -

ORDB - Open relay database http://www.ordb.net/ relays.ordb.org

NJABL - Variety of categories http://www.njabl.org/ dnsbl.njabl.org

CBL - Combined databases http://cbl.abuseat.org/ cbl.abuseat.org
