Only one person ever reported a problem with MSGED not working on
his XT. I tracked it down to a bug in the mouse routines, and it
was fixed. It was actually a bug in MSGED, not a bug in his version
of DOS, his mouse driver (etc). I didn't know that until I had
tracked it down. Now that I know what the bug is, I know that it
affected ANYONE who didn't have a mouse driver installed under DOS.
We've only seen the problem with one V32bis Supra, which shows up
what is VERY LIKELY to be a deficiency in the Courier code. Would
you be prepared to give me a million dollars if I find one other
modem in the world, any manufacturer, any model, which has the same
problem as Rod's Supra? I didn't think so. Now have a close look
at how I dealt with a rare MSGED problem, and how USR dealt with a
rare USR problem. And now ask yourself which one costs the most.
BFN. Paul.
