There's a few ways of achieving this - the one I use is to use 
daniatapi.flt; with the following switch:
BASEDEV=DANIATAPI.FLT /A:1 /u:0 /RSJ

This tells the system to release unit 0 on IDE adapter 1 for use with 
RSJ - you can check adapter/unit numbers using:
copy ibms506$ con:
